From May 2020 to-date, CYD in collaboration with other 19 NGOs is leading implementation of the Mwanamke na Amani project by the Women in International Security-Horn of Africa (WIIS_HOA). Primary goal is to enhance capacities of women in leadership and conflict resolution aspects. In this project, at least 3,000 women from project focal districts have been enhanced their capacity to effectively engage on conflict prevention and resolution, leadership and local peace and security committees. CYD is the designated coordinator of project activities in the districts of Kilwa, Kisarawe and Bagamoyo for Tanzania mainland, and Urban, North ‘A’ and Chake Chake districts for Zanzibar. The project is funded by the Women in International Security-Horn of Africa (WIIS_HOA).
