Overall objective of the Uraia Wetu project is to contribute to an improved and enabling policy framework and environments for effective CSOs engagement as key actors of democratic governance in Zanzibar. Through this project, CYD in collaboration with FCS and other partners, we intend to continue generating up-to-date information on the Zanzibar context in relation to the legal, policy and practice opportunities and barriers for effective CSOs engagement in civic space. Also, to continue organizing and strengthening CSOs capacities for effective engagement with the government and other stakeholders as well as to support CSOs and Government interface dialogues.
