The main goal of the Dumisha Amani kwa Maendeleo Endelevu project is to empower young people especially women and girls to actively engage in peace building efforts within local communities both in Unguja and Pemba Islands of Zanzibar, Tanzania

The project intends to specifically create awareness and increase collaboration and interactions between and among peace stakeholders (60% women and girls) in Zanzibar with the aim of increasing their capacity for preventing organized crimes in both Unguja and Pemba Islands. The project is being implemented by CYD in collaboration with the Zanzibar’s Ministry of information, Youth, Culture and Sports under the support from the UNDP Tanzania.
